FINE will be focused on researching and developing a novel end-to-end architecture for the creation and delivery of a new form of live media content. FINE will introduce the concept of live free-viewpoint content which will provide rich and compelling immersive experiences by allowing remote viewers to place a virtual camera in a real live-action scene and move it freely in space and time, heightening their sense of presence and reality. |

Torres Quevedo is an aid program of the Science and Innovation Ministry of the Spanish Government for the recruitment of doctors and technologists. This program allows the achievement of the following internal projects: data mining for new 'media', analysis and modification of images and videos, research on immersive audio systems and HD infrastructure adaptation for stereoscopic productions. These projects have been funded by the Science and Innovation Ministry Subprogram Torres Quevedo and supported by the European Social Fund. |

IMMERSIVE TV pretends to investigate on the trends of production of digital immersive contents and all the involved chain of value (production, transmission and reception), developing the interactiveness and immersivity further of the current 3D, that is merely “two-dimensional”. In this way it pretends that the final user experience feels like belonging to the own stage that is visualising, being able to interact with it in any direction. |
